Virtual PBX Plans for VoIP
choosing the right plan
Whether your company uses a softphone or a desktop IP phone, Virtual PBX offers a plan that will fit your business. The obvious choice may be our iVPBX product, which offers unlimited minutes as long as your Virtual PBX number is a local number and calls go to your SIP-based VoIP phones. But if you want to use other kinds of phones or if your traffic is light, another plan might be better. The page will help you choose.

The iVPBX plan is often the best choice if all of your employees use a SIP-based phone. Calls going to these phones are free as long as the call comes into Virtual PBX on a local number, so you'll always know your monthly phone cost. You can have as many extensions as you need, by adding our 5-packs of extensions for $49.99 per month, and at about $10 per extension, this is about a fourth of the cost of most hosted IP-PBX plans.
You can also use this plan with an inbound toll-free number, but there will be an additional cost of 2.9 cents per minute for each call to pay for the toll-free number costs. So 1,000 minutes coming in on the toll-free number would cost an extra $29.00 per month.
While the iVPBX plan is really great for SIP-based VoIP softphones, calls to other phones are still possible, and at a very reasonable rate of just 1.9 cents per minute. Typical hosted PBX plans charge between 4 cents and 8 cents per minute for calls, making the cost of iVPBX calls to standard phones a very competitive rate.
If you are a global company with employees in different countries, the iVPBX plan is extremely cost effective. Since a call to a softphone goes over the internet, there is no additional international call cost. Just make sure you use an approved SIP-based VoIP phone for each international extension.
standard plans
Our standard plans can work with any kind of phone – a VoIP pone, a desk phone, a home phone, a cell phone, and almost anything else. We even have clients with satellite phones and sea phones. Each of these plans includes some free minutes, so if your traffic volume is modest, you may find one of these plans will be less expensive than our iVPBX plan, with pricing starting as low as $9.99 per month.
Once you go past the free minutes that are included with our standard plans, there is a cost per minute for each call. The per-minute price ranges from 4.4 cents to 6.4 cents per minute, depending on the plan.
With our standard plans, there is no difference in cost whether you use a local number or a toll-free number. Additional charges apply, however, to calls that are sent to phone numbers outside the US and Canada.
